In addition, many former Soviet Union atomic weapons scientists’ whereabouts are unknown. There are individuals working with terrorist organizations such as Jose Padilla (also known as Abdullah al-Muhajir), the 31-year-old American, is suspected of plotting a dirty radiation bomb attack on the United States. Padilla, a Brooklyn-born man, was seized by FBI agents at O’Hair Airport in Chicago as he returned to the United States from a lengthy stay overseas. As a radiation professional, or for that matter any healthcare professional, should a radiation event occur it will too late then to receive the training.
